On August 27, 2020, the China Machinery Industry Federation and the China General Machinery Industry Association hosted a product appraisal meeting for the "NPS24 Class600 and NPS24 Class900 pressure balanced plug valves" jointly developed by Chengdu Chengfeng Valve Co., Ltd. and the Construction Project Management Branch of the National Pipeline Group in the office building of Chengfeng Flow- Tech Group.
Professor Li Xuechen, the Valve Branch of the China General Machinery Industry Association, is the director of the Appraisal Committee, and Professor Li Weilin, the deputy director of the Appraisal Committee of the Petroleum Science Popularization Education Committee of the China Petroleum Society, together with colleagues from Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the Petroleum Storage and Transportation Professional Committee of the China Petroleum Society , China Petroleum Pipeline Branch, China Petroleum West-East Gas Pipeline Branch, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau Engineering Co., Ltd. Design Institute, China Petroleum Southwest Pipeline Branch, and Lanzhou University of Technology School of Petrochemical Engineering, nine well-known experts in the industry jointly formed the appraisal committee . Representatives attending the meeting came from: China General Machinery Industry Association, China Machinery Industry Federation Major Office, National Pipeline Network Group Science and Technology Information Headquarters, National Pipeline Network Company Construction Project Management Branch, PetroChina West-East Gas Pipeline Branch, China National Petroleum and Natural Gas Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd.
The appraisal meeting was chaired by Huang Li, President of China General Machinery Industry Association. Ding Qi, chairman of the company, delivered a welcome speech. Sui Yongbin, former chief engineer of China Machinery Industry Federation and honorary president of China General Machinery Industry Association, made a concluding speech. The company's general manager Zhang Jun, chief engineer Zeng Pinqi, deputy chief engineer Zeng Heyou and heads of technical departments attended the meeting.
The experts and representatives of the appraisal committee visited the company's production and test site, witnessed some factory tests, listened to the company's development summary report, consulted the documents related to design, manufacturing, testing and quality assurance, and carried out detailed technical questions and discussions.
Finally, the experts of the appraisal committee unanimously believed that the "NPS24 Class600, NPS24 Class900 pressure balanced plug valve" developed by Chengdu Chengfeng Valve Co., Ltd. have independent intellectual property rights and have filled the domestic gap. The main technical indicators have reached the advanced level of similar international products, after passing the on-site industrial test, it can be promoted for use. The appraisal committee unanimously approved the appraisal.
CCFV successfully developed and passed the appraisal of 4 localized prototypes of large-diameter plug valves (3 set for NPS24 Class600, 1set for NPS24 Class900), marking a new step in the valve technology of large-diameter plug valves for domestic gas pipelines. Based on the "China-Russia East Route Natural Gas Pipeline Project" of the National Oil and Gas Pipeline Network Group Co., Ltd., it will make due contributions to improving the key valve equipment capabilities of my country's oil and gas pipelines and ensuring national energy security.
